Low Back Pain
Most musculoskeletal low back pain is caused by mobility restriction, lack of stability, coordination issue, or often a combination of the three.
The common low back pain generators can be herniated discs, bulging discs, deranged discs, degenerated discs, muscle spasm, muscle strain, fascial tension, ligament sprain, spinal/facet joint or sacroiliac joint sprain, arthritis, stenosis.
After determining the pain generators, it is essential to determine why those tissues are causing pain. Usually there is an imbalance somewhere above or below that is leading to the problem. A common example is that there is restriction in hip movement and weakness in the core muscles leading to excess mechanical stress on the lumbar spine and its associated soft tissues.
Repetitive daily patterns, such as poor posture, excess sitting, bending incorrectly, lifting incorrectly, spine-damaging exercises or sedentary lifestyle are usually what eventually lead low back injuries.
Our thorough evaluations are non-invasive and allow us to determine the root of the problem. Our combination of lifestyle education, acupuncture, Stecco Fascial Manipulation, A.R.T., chiropractic joint manipulation, functional rehabilitation, massage therapy, cold laser therapy, and nutritional interventions can not only alleviate the symptoms, but correct the cause of the problem.
