Dr. Robert Inesta

Dr. Robert Inesta was inspired to begin his journey in health having suffered with pain from multiple injuries and having gone through spinal and shoulder surgeries. He is a Chiropractor, Licensed Acupuncturist, Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner, Certified Chiropractic Sports Practitioner and fascial/soft tissue therapy specialist who’s practiced for 20 years and has helped thousands of patients overcome pain and improve their health.

He believes the patient is the true healer and that the doctor’s role is to first listen to the patient’s story, then teach and empower them to do what they are designed to do – heal!

He earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree at New York Chiropractic College, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude, was inducted into Phi Chi Omega Honor Society and was the recipient of multiple clinical achievement awards.

Dr. Inesta is one of the only chiropractors in both Westchester County, NY and Berkshire County, MA who is also a Licensed Acupuncturist, after having completed a three year Masters of Science degree and board licensing exams in acupuncture. He combines Traditional Chinese Medicine with Scalp Acupuncture, Acupuncture Physical Medicine and contemporary neuromuscular dry needling.

Dr. Inesta’s extensive postgraduate training consists of functional rehabilitation, soft tissue therapy, biomechanics, functional medicine, nutrition, neurochemistry, clinical neurophysiology and electrodiagnosis. He is certified in Active Release Techniques, Stecco Fascial Manipulation, Graston Technique and Kinesiotaping, and is a member of the Fascial Research Society.

He is the clinical director of Westchester Sports & Wellness in Harrison, NY and now in Great Barrington, MA where he provides chiropractic, acupuncture and fascial therapy services. He has written numerous articles on health, lectured extensively and co-authored the training manuals of the National Federation of Personal Trainers and the books “Principles of Functional Exercise” and “A Squash Player’s Training Handbook.”

When he’s not with patients or studying new techniques and research, he’s enjoying time with his wife and daughter, hiking, training, practicing martial arts, writing, reading, gardening and playing music.
