Nerve Mobilization Exercise To Prevent Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
This exercise helps to mobilize the median nerve, along with the soft tissues of the upper extremities and cervical spine. This is known as “nerve flossing”. The median nerve is the nerve involved in carpal tunnel syndrome. Doing this regularly can help to prevent carpal tunnel syndrome and other median nerve entrapments.
The key is to remain as relaxed as possible while doing this. If it causes any symptoms (pain, numbness, tingling), stop and consult a professional for proper evaluation, diagnosis and treatment.
